GOING FORWARD WITH   CARING CANINES...............

 "Be Dogwise" programme incorporates Charlie`s Storybook, Safety Around Dogs and Responsible Dog Ownership and our Presentation team visit local schools, youth clubs etc...............

As from March 2009 we can also offer "Be Bookwise" a new initiative to help children 12 years or under to improve their literacy skills and boost confidence

As time goes on and more evidence is located a presentation for local hospitals will be possible - the three main hospitals in our area are very resistant to visits by Therapy Dogs although several of our Cottage Hospitals have Volunteer Visitors and the largest teaching Hospital in Middlesex has had, and may still have, 4 registered Therapy Dogs (via a National Charity) working there on a regular basis.

Recruitment of new Volunteer members is ongoing as is locating venues where our members and their dogs will be made welcome. The Poster Campaign, Press Coverage , word of mouth and our ever growing profile also continues to contribute to our growing success

CARING CANINES are involved in several projects which not only benefit the

 Community but also give our Volunteers different types of work to enjoy and develop...........................
